Audubon Zoo Wetland Watchers World Wetlands Day Feb 17 2018

What a beautiful day for our Wetland Watcher students to volunteer at the Audubon Zoo World Wetlands Day Celebration!35 students and some awesome moms were on hand to facilitate activities for hundreds of visitors in the amazing Swamp Exhibit! Wetland Watchers East Regional Library Fantastic Beasts Night!

Recently, the Wetland Watchers were excited to be a part of the St. Charles Parish Eastbank Regional Library’s Harry Potter Worldwide Celebration! This year the library chose the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to highlight and the Wetland Watchers were an obvious choice to give visitors an up close view of some of our world’s most incredible, fantastic animals! Over 50 student Wetland Watcher volunteers presented to over 250 visitors during the night! Many of the costumed visitors had the opportunity to hold one of the Wetland Watchers most impressive animals, the aptly named Nagini, the 7-foot, 40 pound Columbian Red-Tailed Boa!
